I can Only Imagine

I Can only imagine what it would be like to be loved by you,

and feel the tenderness of knowing you feel that way too.

Just my eyes and tears develop inside as I just can dream, for being loved that first time ever and knowing what it means

I am trying to imagine that loving you would be a mutual deal,

as I have had my heart often broken and I know how it feels.

So I can only imagine how great real love could be inside me

I can tell you it would be so liberating and surely set me free.

But for now its a vision that I think about almost every day,

saying a prayer here and there that God sends her my way.

Yes I can hold onto that vision inside me that tugs at me,

because without it what else would I have for me to believe?

So now I am thinking about  you and what it would feel like,

Laying down and have your head on my chest all the night.

Running my hands through your hair and listening to you,

filled with warmth and tenderness and giving that whats true.

Listening to your heart telling me your dreams and desires,

and we slowly burn our logs and create blissful life's fires.

The melting of two peoples souls to be one is so sweet,

because the budding treasure of two I want us to meet.

Life partner......I can only imagine what that could be like,

because wanting and not having isnt cause to lose sight.

So please help me imagine what my desire can become,

as even though ok by myself...I want with you to be one.

So yes imagine even though we know who we really are,

imagine how much better together that walking from afar.

Being a complete person already is the best way to be,

but having that life soul mate is even better...you'll see.
